Ingredients
Makes about 1 cup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup plain or vanilla soy milk
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Method
- In small saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa and cornstarch, stirring until blended
- Stir in the soymilk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil
- Continue cooking and stirring until thickened and smooth
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla
- Serve warm
- Store leftover sauce covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
