Brussels Sprouts With Shallots Dillweed Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 4 servings

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 or 4 small shallots, quartered lengthwise
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dillweed or 1 teaspoon dried

Method

  1. Steam the Brussels sprouts until just tender, about 7 minutes
  2. Set aside
  3. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat
  4. Add the shallots and cook until softened, 5minutes
  5. Add the Brussels sprouts and season with salt and pepper to taste
  6. Cook until the shallots and Brussels sprouts become lightly browned, about 5 minutes
  7. Add the dillweed and stir to combine
  8. Serve immediately
