Ingredients
Makes 4 servings
- 1 pound extra-firm tofu, drained, cut into 1/2-inch slices and pressed
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
Method
- Blot the tofu dry and arrange in a 9 x 13inch baking dish and set aside
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, oil, vinegar and sugar and bring to a boil
- Pour the hot marinade onto the tofu and set aside to marinate 30 minutes, turning once
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
- Bake the tofu for 30 minutes, turning once about halfway through
- Serve immediately or allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until needed
