Ingredients
- 475 ml skim milk, warmed to 115°F 46°C
- 2 tbsps (28 ml) canola oil
- ¼ cup (85 g) honey
- 2¾ teaspoons (7 g) yeast
- 360 g whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup (86 g) wheat bran
- ¼ cup (29 g) wheat germ
Method
- Preheat slow cooker on high for 30 minutes
- Combine warm milk, oil, honey, yeast, and half the flour
- With electric mixer, beat well for about 2 minutes
- Add remaining flour; mix well
- Place dough in well-greased baking pan; cover
- Place in slow cooker, cover, and bake on high 3 hours
- Yield: 8 servings
- Per serving: 62 g water; 270 calories (16% from fat, 15% from protein, 69% from carb)
