Ingredients
- 3 tbsps (45 ml) olive oil
- 1 pound (900 g) extra-lean ground beef
- 1 cup (160 g) chopped onion
- 225g diced green chilies
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 cup (235 ml) water
Method
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; brown meat and onion
- Transfer to slow cooker
- Add chilies, chili powder, garlic, and water
- Cover and cook on high 6 to 8 hours
- Yield: 8 servings
- Per serving: 146 g water; 326 calories (69% from fat, 27% from protein, 4% from carb)
