Spicy Grilled Sablefish Seafood Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced green onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon basil — crushed
  • 1 dash sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 whole sablefish fillet — (1-1/2 to 2 lb.)

Method

  1. Combine tomato sauce, onion, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, basil and sugar in saucepan
  2. Cook and stir 5 minutes
  3. Mix oil and lemon juice; brush on fish
  4. Grill sablefish 4 inches from coals 5 minutes
  5. Turn fish, baste with tomato mixture and continue cooking until sablefish flakes easily when tested with a fork
  6. Allow 10 minutes total cooking time per inch of thickness measured at its thickest part
  7. Thoroughly heat remaining tomato mixture; serve with sablefish
  8. Preparation Tip: For ease of handling, place sablefish on foil before grilling
