Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry
- 1 clove garlic — minced
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger root — grated
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 sablefish steaks — (about 6 oz. each)
- lemon wedges
Method
- Combine soy sauce, sherry, garlic, ginger and honey
- Marinate sablefish in soy mixture about 1 hour; turn after 30 minutes
- Broil 4 inches from heat, allowing 10 minutes cooking time per inch of thickness measured at its thickest part or until sablefish flakes easily when tested with a fork
- Garnish with lemon wedges *1/4 tsp ground ginger may be substituted
