Ingredients
- 2 lb. pinto beans
- 2 1/2 qt. water
- 1/2 lb. bacon or linguica, cut into pieces
- 2 lg. onions, chopped
- 4 med. cloves garlic
- 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (11 1/2 oz.) bottle ketchup
- 1 c. chili ketchup
- 1 tbsp. Worcestershire
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- salt and pepper to taste.
Method
- Bring beans to boil
- Saute meat, onions, bell pepper
- Add to beans
- Add remaining ingredients, cook until tender
- 8 to 10 servings
