Ingredients
Makes 1
- 1 small thin-cut sirloin steak (about 4½oz/125g) Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 white roll
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and cut in half
- ground cumin, for dusting
- 1 fresh red chili, finely chopped (seeded or not is up to you) Sliced cheese, for melting (Swiss cheese would work well here)
Method
- Heat a greased frying pan or skil et until hot
- Season the steak with salt and pepper, then cook it to your liking in the hot pan
- Split the rol in half and rub the cut sides with the cut garlic clove
- Add the steak to the sandwich and dust with cumin, top with red chili, and, finally, the cheese
- Toast the sandwich in a sandwich toaster or in a greased frying pan or skil et, until golden al over
- Serve immediately
