Salmon Or Tuna Fish Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Serving Size : 8

  • 2 cups shredded red salmon or tuna – fish
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup finely shredded cabbage
  • 2/3 cup chopped sweet pickle
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Method

  1. Soften gelatin in cold water.
  2. Add hot water.
  3. Stir until dissolved.
  4. Cool until partially set.
  5. Add salmon, vegetables, pickle, salt, lemon juice, and vinegar.
  6. Mix lightly with 2 forks.
  7. Pour into mold.
  8. Chill until firm.
  9. Serve on crisp lettuce.
  10. Serve with mayonnaise.
  11. Garnish with paprika.
  12. 8 servings.
