Flaxitos Keto Doritos Recipe

Ingredients

Yield: 6 servings

  • 1 cup (112g) ground flax seeds
  • ¼ cup (20g) nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) water

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together the flax seeds, nutritional yeast, granulated garlic, and salt until the ingredients are evenly distributed
  3. Pour in the water and stir for about a minute, until a thick batter forms
  4. It should be spreadable and have the texture of natural peanut butter
  5. If it’s too thick to spread, stir in a little more water
  6. Spread the dough in a thin layer on the lined baking sheet and use the back of a spoon to smooth it out
  7. Use a butter knife to score the dough into triangle shapes
  8. Bake for 35 minutes, until the crackers are firm to the touch and there are no soft spots remaining
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 20 minutes so that the crackers set up
  10. Break apart before serving
  11. Keep in a tightly sealed container at room temperature for up to 4 days
