Ingredients
- Serves: 4
- 1 cup yellow split peas
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 10 oz spinach, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and minced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 15 oz can tomatoes, drained and diced
- 2 jalapeno pepper, cored and diced
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1 tsp salt
Method
- Add all ingredients except spinach into the slow cooker and stir well.
- Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
- Add spinach and cook for another 20.
- Stir well and serve.
