Rosemary Scones
Ingredients
Makes 8 scones
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup plain soy milk
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F
- Lightly oil a baking sheet and set aside
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
- In a medium bowl, combine the oil, soy milk and rosemary
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just blended
- Do not overmix
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and press the dough into a 1-inch-thick circle
- Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on the prepared baking sheet
- Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes
- Cool for 5 minutes
- Serve warm
