Stuffed Chicken Breast Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- 4 slices low-salt bacon
- ¼ cup (60 ml) low-salt chicken broth
- ½ cup 120 ml white cooking wine
Method
- Cut each breast in half lengthwise
- Flatten chicken to ½-inch (1
- 3 cm) thickness
- Place a slice of cheese on top of each flattened breast
- Sprinkle with pepper
- Roll up and wrap with strip of bacon
- Secure with toothpick
- Place in slow cooker
- Combine broth and wine
- Pour into slow cooker
- Cover
- Cook on high 4 hours
- Yield: 6 servings
